Eco friendly removals and storage

At Alexanders our unique ‘Eco-Aware’ policy means that the first thought on our minds is about our environment and how best to look after it.

For us, being ‘Eco-Aware’ is about SAVING the Earth’s resources by limiting our use of disposable materials, re-using, recycling and running an office focussed on Energy Saving. We also make regular donations to the Border Green Energy team (www.bget.org), a voluntary organisation who run renewable energy projects in South-East Asia, ultimately helping us to reduce our overall impact on the environment.

Our Eco-aware mission statement:

• We will use recycled packaging materials
• Where possible we will use crates instead of boxes
• In place of polythene wrap we will use re-usable protective covers
• We will recycle office waste
• For home and office site visits employees will be encouraged to take public transport or walk
• We will make donations to environmentally friendly projects
• We will encourage clients to re-use and re-cycle by way of an Eco-Aware leaflet (printed on recycled paper)
• We will promote the saving of Energy Use in the office
• Our staff will be trained to follow this Mission Statement which will be displayed prominently in the office
• We will keep up to date with all research relating to environmentally friendly projects to endeavour to steer clear of those which may not be as beneficial to the environment as they seem

Alexanders also makes regular donations to the Red Cross and Christian Aid.
